Dojo Rules

  1. Bow on entering and leaving the Dojo.
  2. Always address the Instructor as Sensei whilst in the Dojo, no matter how friendly you may be outside the Dojo.
  3. Train at least twice a week when possible.
  4. You must not leave the class without first obtaining permission from the instructor.
  5. Always try to arrive at a class in good time. If you arrive late you must take up a kneeling position on the side of the Dojo and await permission from the Instructor before joining the class. Once permission has been given, you must bow and then join the class.
  6. Finger and toe nails must be kept clean and short.
  7. Gis must be kept clean and in good condition.
  8. No jewellery may be worn during training. If you cannot remove a ring then tape must be wrapped around it.
  9. You must apply for a license no later than one month after commencement of training.
  10. You must not smoke, swear, chew, spit, or commit any other act likely to offend the etiquette of the Dojo.
  11. You must not use your skills in any offensive way outside of the Dojo.
